A more focused list of maps that I think are worth considering.

  • Research Facility is a favorite of mine. I played on this map a lot when I was new to the game, but haven't played on it much since.
  • A Minecraft Christmas is a map I've played on a lot. I think it's balanced and I think it's fair and I think it fits with Intruder well. It's rather simple but works. The excessively clunky minecraft blocks don't bog the map down.
  • Viotechs Trainjack is a fun map to play on and feels fair. While it is confrontational, the Intruders have ample ability to keep the guards on the defense.
  • Viotechs Mountain Pass feels fair when I play it with high level players. The guard side might be a big too strong if they lean back into the map by the extract, but the Intruders do have options to attack. Generally a very difficult map.
  • Manifold is a unique map. Overly stealthy but the Intruder team isn't helpless. Works better with fewer players, but am not sure of that. May actually be more well balanced than Stealth Highrise.
  • Stealth Highrise takes Manifold's ideas and goes further. It's all about playing in the shadows. I see people in public lobbies having fun with this map often. Similar to Manifold, I worry that it's possible for guards to camp out in a place that makes it impossible for them to lose.
  • Toptier is balanced around being a 1v1 map. It does that well and uses its dynamic light uniquely.
  • Foreseen Sequences is a balanced map that I get lost on a lot. I think it should be ranked, but I do worry about how well it will play in a competitive environment.
