And I'd like the below regarding the vanilla upgrade.
Hi @Daniel.Kiwi, clarification question: are you saying you want each upgrade to be 30-50% more powerful than they are *currently*, or that you'd prefer that they each be a 30-50% improvement over the vanilla upgrade? For reference, currently the "Improved" drill is 10x the power of the vanilla upgrade, and the "Superior" drill is 30x the power of the vanilla upgrade, so I'm just trying to figure out if you want them *more* or *less* powerful than they are currently :D
Should be simple enough, seems like one single entry is missing.
Thank you for the suggestion. You're absolutely right about this mod being not balanced in the slightest, lol. Having said that, if I were going to make something (nominally) "balanced", I'd still probably lean towards making each level a 30-50% improvement over the previous one. My game design philosophy is that generally I want players to feel rewarded for specialization--like, the deeper they invest in a given area/skill/technology/etc. the more value they should get out of it.
In other words, while I'm not saying "no, I'll never do that", at a minimum I'd encourage you to consider putting your own mod out--because I think I'd be awesome for you to be able to share your unique vision :)
If you're interested in that, you're welcome to use this mod as a template, and the game's Discord server has a robust modding scene filled with (in my experience) friendly and helpful people.
Thank you again for your input, and Happy New Year to you as well! :)
