The Gabriella-Class Light Gunboat is a historic line of ships that predates the Commonwealth, with the earliest models dating back approximately 180 years. In modern times, the Gabriella-Class was commissioned by the World's Commonwealth StarNavy following the Fuel Rim war. Its primary purpose is to safeguard and patrol the Commonwealth's vest territory and protect its interests. Designed as a small, cost-effective space vessel, the Gabriella-Class focuses on escort and patrol duties, making it the smallest navy ship within the Worlds Commonwealth fleet. By the late 2350s, the Gabriella-Class accounted for one-sixth of the navy's total ship count. Notably, it retains a vertical deck layout, which is rare among modern ships due to its space-only nature.

The Gabriella-Class Gunboat boasts extensive automation, making it one of the most automated ships in the World's Commonwealth StarNavy. With an average crew size of only 7, it is highly efficient and requires minimal manpower. Furthermore, its versatility shines through as it can be easily modified to fulfill various roles, including anti-missile, anti-ship, and anti-fighter duties.
