Shaochilong

A genus of Carcharodonotsaurid from the mid-Cretaceous Ulansuhai Formation of China. the type species, S. Maortuensis, was originally given to the genus Chilantaisaurus, thus almost making it dubious before being re-described and reclassified in 2009. It was intrestingly one of the last carcharodontosaurids to walk the earth before the reign of tyrannosauroids and tyrannosaurids.
