[TTT] Painkillers

The Painkillers are a shop item for TTT which provides temporary healing.

• The Painkillers are a single use item and instantly heal the user up to full health.
  
• All healing granted by the Painkillers is temporary.
  
• The health boost decays over time (default 1 HP per 2 seconds).
  
• If you drop down to 1 HP then the decay effect will cease (you cannot die from temporary health decay).
  
• The Painkillers are a Traitor item by default.
  
• If you are playing Trouble in Terrorist Town with the Custom Roles mod enabled, they will by default also appear in the shops for the Doctor and the Quack.
  
• Note that other players can see and hear you take Painkillers - don't incriminate yourself just to get rid of a headache.

You can configure the Painkillers by altering the following convars:

ttt_painkillers_decayrate 2
Rate in seconds that the painkillers deduct 1 point of temporary health from the player
Default 2, can range from 0.5 to 10

ttt_painkillers_limitedstock 1
Whether or not the Painkillers have limited stock i.e. cannot be purchased more than once per player
Default 1, set to 0 to allow players to buy the Painkillers again


The Painkillers make for a useful Traitor healing item that doesn't feel as unfair as the Juggernog or the Medkit since the damage dealt to the Traitor isn't totally erased, only briefly patched up.

While the Juggernog or the Medkit encourage play where the Traitor can carelessly attack someone and then heal up any damage they take, the Painkillers' temporary healing means that there are still some consequences for taking damage.

The fact that the health boost doesn't last long also pressures the Traitor to be aggressive and seek out more targets before their health atrophies, whereas the Medkit incentivises Traitors to run away and camp until they're back to full health.
