1) gm_infmap_gta5map_HD_LOWSPEC -> The map has collision but is low poly and many details have been removed for higher FPS.
2) gm_infmap_gta5map_FULLHD_NO_COLLISION -> Nearly 7 million triangles map with lots of details, closest as original in GTA V
3) gm_infmap_gta5map_FULLHD_COLLISION -> Same as previous but has nearly full collsion. Because of this it loads very slowly.

DO NOT PRESS W S A D - CTRL - SPACE to stay near the map while it loads, inmediatly enter NOCLIP mode after spawning to avoid falling, otherwise you will fall to void and will need to type "kill" in console to respawn again. Under your feet you will see a platform (see last picture) indicating that you're above the map at the right position.



Expect game crashes at any time. Sometimes after loading, it freezes for a few seconds.
if you noclip very fast altering sv_noclipspeed, the game will likely crash.

If you're having lag after the map is loaded, you can explore the map with host_timescale 0.4 FPS will be higher.

Do not press WSAD/CTRL/SPACE after spawning as you will fall to the void and be very far away from the map. Even without moving, sometimes you can be falling. If after a while (see times above) you don't see any map loading above, below in front or behind you, type KILL in console to respawn. You should respawn above the loading map. Then, do NOT move and look around for the map to check if it's really loading.

If you didn't press WSAD/CTRL/SPACE you should be standing on a small dark platform placed above the map preventing you from falling. To check it, simply look down.

It is possible that the map has loaded partially but didn't load collision yet.
Keep trying and collision will eventually appear. Type kill to respawn. Also make sure you are playing a map version with collision. (See maps listed above)


A sign of the map loading is when the game lags while trying to look around with the mouse.
Enjoy exploring Los Santos, and be patient it takes a while for it to load, close any unnecessary apps so gmod.exe process has enough memory to load the map.
