Russ Haas was the younger brother of Charlie Haas. The two wrestled as The Haas Brothers on the indies before signing deals with the WWF and working through their development territories.

Russ tragically passed away from a heart attack at 27 with a seemingly bright future in the ring still ahead of him. Charlie went on to the WWE main roster and has featured his brother's name written on his wrist tape consistently over the past twenty years in tribute.
