Synergy 1.1 Playermodels

After sitting on this addon folder for about a year, it's finally here!

A couple years ago, I was given a download link for an ancient version of Synergy, running off of Source SDK 2006 (an ancient and easily-exploitable release of the Source Engine), and labelled as version "1.1". Upon further inspection of the build, I realized that the mod had a bunch of extra custom playermodels set up; models completely different from the ones in the current version of the mod (which are only accessible for donors). Loving the ancient aesthetic of these, I decided to extract the models from the 1.1 build and rig them up for use in GMod, which is what I have for you all here.

The 1.1 playermodels in question:

• Soria
  
• Metrocop (Custom)
  
• Combine Soldier (Custom)
  
• Combine Shock Soldier
  
• Combine Super Soldier/Elite (Custom)
  
• TFC Pyro (Custom)
  
• Postal Dude

And just for the hell of it, I extracted all three of the donor playermodels from the current build of Synergy and ported them over as well! So I hope you enjoy this pastiche of 2005-6 era Source characters plus some slightly more recent ones.


I take no credit for any of the content here whatsoever, other than porting, re-rigging and scripting for GMod. Some of the assets provided by the mod team for Synergy as well as Valve Software; admittedly, I don't know who exactly made the rest of the content for this, but whoever they are, they especially get credit too.
