"Button Men was introduced in 1999. Over the next few years, more than 200 different characters were created with a variety of rules and themes. The basic idea is simple: each fighter is represented by five polyhedral dice. Players take turns rolling dice and capturing each other’s dice. Button Men was a hit at game conventions and online. It won two Origins Awards: Best Abstract Board Game and Best Graphic Presentation of a Board Game of 1999. A few years later, Button Men Online won the Origins Award for Best Play by Mail Game."
