VScript-ified version of the Immersive First-Person code. Original discussion here.
Technically works online but ONLY on local servers and on yourself.
Formerly unlisted because the general audience of L4D2 mods as a whole will scream "why doesn't this work for multiplayer!!!!!! ;(((((" and then get mad at me. Probably still going to happen.

This mod automatically comes with a fix for the shotgun sound for thirdpersonshoulder. Don't worry, this one is less likely to crash your game than others.

If the effect doesn't work, manually enable it by typing thirdpersonshoulder in the console once or twice.

It probably just means that your custom model doesn't have that bone, so the new camera from this addon can't attach itself to it. It's not gonna mess with your model, just the addon won't work as intended for anyone using that specific model.

hmm, is the "Your custom model does NOT have "ValveBiped.forward" bone! Bad custom survivor model." from this of your mod? What does it means to my custom survivor model?

Since I tried this and the view are really off the survivor
