Any Metalsmithing

描述
This mod enables all metals to be used in various crafting recipes.
Gold breastplates are now craftable for example.

I recommend learning the different properties of each metal to know what you'll be crafting.

Not compatible with mods that modifies the properties of vanilla metals.

Known bugs:
Non standard armor and weapon sprites (Ex 'Tin shortsword') are invisible on creatures. Something is wonky with the DF graphics when it comes to creatures and their displayed gear. Hopefully this will be solved by the devs in the future by making creature gear display the same way item sprites does with colorization based on the RAW values.

Besides fitting nobles with golden armor and creating platinum blunt weapon squad, I can't think on anything else to do.

Yes, it is unfortunately connected with how they currently handle gear display on creature sprites. Hopefully they will change that in the future.

It doesn't add more craftable items in metal, just makes sure that any craftable object that is available in metal can use any metal in the game.

However, your suggestion doesn't sound like it would be hard to do, you should turn it into a mod, it would serve as a good learning experience as well. Not to mention any such mod could be combined with this one.
