Calamity Desert v1.1 - THE BLAZING STORM UPDATE

Hello Halo fans and gamers alike! Welcome to Calamity Desert v1.1! This vast and dusty landscape is filled with rubbled ruins, piles of cacti, rolling tumbleweeds, and sharp hills of sandy terrain. This wasteland used to have a thriving civilization, but a terrible dust storm swept it away, and it has now turned into a competitive battle arena. Travel across the desert to find some weapons and power-ups, and shoot your opponents 'til your heart's content.

NOTE: This multiplayer map requires Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. That should be easy to install. Report any bugs or gameplay improvements I can apply to the map.

Supports all game modes:
-Slayer
-Capture the Flag
-Race
-Oddball
-King of the Hill

Fully customizable the map's options menu.

NEW CONTENT UPDATE!!! v1.1
-A terrible twisting tornado.
-Teleport tents with Vehicle Pickup spots.
-Improved map design.
-New vehicles. (Can you spot them?)

KNOWN ISSUES:
- The tornado doesn't show up while spinning for other players so the host has to guide them where it's going. In a way, it makes it more menacing but not what I intended. Halo 1's engine is very advanced and ahead of its time, but a bit limited. Who knows, I might port this map to Halo 2 or remake it in the future.

FIXED BUGS AND GAMETYPES UNNOTICED (1.1.3):
-Fixed King of the Hill and added more hills for the past few minor updates
-Raised vehicle spawns for Race mode to 16.

Raised the Minimum Game Version to 1.3232.0. If you're on an older version of MCC before this patch, you must update to the latest version to see this mod in your game.

I am always happy to respond to feedback in the comments section below (or in the feedback hub discussion page) to improve the map.

Trivia: This map was inspired by InfernoPlus's Desert Hog map. There are no crazy warthogs (I apologize). The large landscape, however, should let you know where my inspiration came from. Based on the markers shown by other game modes, the play field is 1km in length. To help make the gameplay feel as fast as possible, I amped up the player and the vehicle speeds. Let me know if there's something to fix with that.

Thank you so much for checking this out. This update was a month of hard work! There was definitely some room for improvement. The initial version was good, but it felt half-baked in my opinion. Hopefully, I get more full lobbies as the map has now 1,405 unique visits and 117 unique subscribers and counting! You guys are the best! I had no prior experience with modding a game or making maps ever, but for the past year, it has been a fun ride. This is a huge achievement for me and I hope to apply my modding skills to other projects. I need a long break from modding this game specifically. I'll get back to it in the future.
