The classic gamemode returns in a new form! New Saxton’s abilities! Better animations and visual effects! High quality maps (yes, several)!
It’s all here, inside the map file! No need to install plugins, just subscribe on the Workshop!

What is VS Saxton Hale? It's in the name! You fight Saxton Hale! Or you play as Saxton Hale and fight the Mercenaries.



Are you ready to face 23 enemies at once? ‘Cause they surely aren’t ready to face you!













Phe - Distillery (the map itself)
LizardOfOz - the original VSH Plugin, VSH VScript recreation, promotional material.
Maxxy - Saxton Hale's model imitating Jungle Inferno SFM, custom animations, promotional material, map models.
Stuffy - Custom tree models, map models.
Velly - VFX, animations scripting, technical assistance.
JPRAS - Mayann Hale body reference, model feedback.
MegapiemanPHD - Voice of Saxton Hale and Gray Mann.
Yakibomb - give_tf_weapon script[tf2maps.net] (used for Hale's first-person hands model).

imo this is one of the best maps in the roster for VSH due to the size of the map snugly accomodating a full-capacity server and the many areas you can be in to fight Hale. I really like how well designed this map is that gives both Saxton players and Red players more freedom and room to breathe.

I noticed that the "-40% damage penalty" that is on all Miniguns is not stacking correctly with the Natascha and Huo-Long Heater (unless this is intentional). Both of the penalties for these weapons (Natascha, -25% & Huo-Long Heater, -10%) are being changed to -40%, instead of stacking the -40% on top. I would suggest instead of applying the normal "damage penalty" attribute, you should use "damage bonus HIDDEN" (#476).

Hi, I had this really cool idea I'd like to share regarding the gamemode, but not the map itself.

I noticed Hale's model has a bodygroup that hides his hat. Would be possible to make so that when he dies, the bodygroup changes to his "no hat" value, and a Saxton (the cosmetic item) drops from Hale, in a similar fashion to how it happens on classes?
