Pomnik Czynu Rewolucyjnego w Rzeszowie

A Monument to the Revolutionary Action in Rzeszów, Poland. The originators of the monument were leaders of the regional branch of the Polish United Workers' Party (communist). The project phase began back in 1967.

The front side of the monument has a sculpture of Nike, a goddess of Victory,
Back side has 3 men - a peasant, worker and a soldier.
The sharp concrete shapes at the sides symbolize the laurel leaves.

Construction lasted between 1971-1974.

Last visual change to the monument was made in early 2000s by adding shields with a city emblem near top of the monument.

In 2017 there were debates on whether to tear it down or not as part of the decommunization, but luckily the monument was kept in place protected by the local authorities, as a widely recognizable symbol of the city of Rzeszów.
