Hyperion is too vulnerable to control by the player. The first thing that gets destroyed is the shield. The fun ends abruptly. The cyclops has a shield that is cleverly hidden, and the only problem the cyclops has is if its engine gets blown up. As for combat power, well, yes. 6 guns against 1. However, even if they hit, the pellets knock out the little things. I still choose the cyclops as a combat frigate, and the hyperion is just... a yacht, like an astrid.
