HIMS Astral Glory

The single most heavily armed warship afloat at the time of her launch, the Astral Glory-class of dreadnought battleships represents the pinnacle of Pydrinck's quest for ever-greater armament. With a broadside of twelve 16" guns, few ships can match the sheer weight of shot outputted by these ships, but this did not come without sacrifice. Simply lacking the space to mount such firepower on the centreline, four wing turrets were instead employed, and though this grants the class powerful firepower fore and aft, it also makes them one of the heaviest. With a fuel economy to make a wildfire blush, only a few ships of such excessive design are deployed at once, the enormous investment required to build a single one also leading to extreme caution in their deployment. Rarely leaving the safety of harbour for fear of sabotage or torpedo attack, the pressures of war have at last given the Astral Glory its day in the sun, sailing out once more as an instrument of the High Queen's Justice, a showpiece no longer.
