Perhaps it would be worth voicing such concerns?
Also... the flagrant plagiarism DLC among other things. Clearly just cash grab.
They don't like that people don't like their decisions, so instead of fixing them, they choose to deny people the ability to comment on them.
APS is mechanically rather dumb - because of "autoloader spam" - and most ammo types are basically worthless, but at least it succeeds where CRAMs fail; which is actually hitting targets at range accurately, and having reloading times that are less than an hour. Sure frag meta I guess was 'overpowered' but that's only because every other damage type was underpowered as hell, and when they buffed HEAT by changing it's damage simulation and allowing it to damage armor blocks, they basically just turned HEAT into pre-nerf FRAG (Also for some reason HEAT shells do not suffer from sympathetic detonation, unlike FRAG shells - which unintentionally makes designs using HEAT even better now as they have much better survivability from ammo detonation).
Missiles were 'improved' but at the cost of making gantries ridiculously overpriced and their accuracy worse. (One of the only benefits of missiles was that they actually hit things despite being relatively low damage compared to other weapons at the time.) Not to mention how annoying enemy laser-anti-missile is in it's flawless defense making the larger missiles sometimes pointless, and the fact that they nerfed torpedo's explosive damage bonus means there's really little incentive to using them now besides that.
Steam engines are still king after they ruined fuel engines, the new 'jet turbines' are interesting in concept but in execution they are too space inefficient and don't even make very much power for the cost.
PACs have always been a joke gimmick weapon, and lasers have been utterly untouched for years despite being horribly outdated.
