This mod is not going to be updated again, probably :P

This is a faithful recreation of the Half-Life 2 auto-reload mechanic. When you fire your weapon and switch to other, after 3 seconds the game will automatically reload your previous weapon, so you don't need to remember to switch again and reload by yourself!

It also respects the reserved ammo avaliable, adding ammo relative to the amount of reserved ammo you have. This means that if you need more ammo than the reserved ammo avaliable, it'll not reload completely, and if you don't have reserved ammo, it'll not reload at all.

You can turn it on or off and customize the time it takes to reload.

I had the idea of this addon and my brother (XxSourceGamerxX) "made it" with ChatGPT.


CONSOLE COMMANDS:

auto_reload 1 (enabled by default, set to 0 to disable the mod)
auto_reload_duration 3 (seconds it takes to reload the last weapon. 3 by default, change it to any value you want)

tbh, now that i think about it. it would have been nice if this addon had a blacklist feature for weapons that dont use ammo/weapons that regenerate ammo, so that it doesnt break them.

for some reason the medkit regenerates slower when you put it away
