描述
A redesign of the Barsuk, the Jarsuk is a slightly larger ship designed for 2-4 players, with 3 being the sweet spot. The Jarsuk intends to fill in the gaps where the Barsuk fell short, including a heavy gun on the bottom, a larger size, and the addition of crafting stations to elevate the Jarsuk to a campaign worthy ship.

In Navigation, there is a Master power switch to shut down all outgoing power on the ship, a controllable light on the front of the ship, the ability to open and close the airlock door via the nav terminal, as well as six indicators:
  • Reactor Meltdown Warning
  • Low Fuel Warning
  • Ballast Pumps Low Durability
  • Engine Low Durability
  • Human in Airlock
  • Enemy Near the Ship

The Jarsuk includes a deconstructor, fabricator, and medical fabricator. It also includes a large and automatic battery array, automatically storing excess power and providing it as needed. Because of this, the most important junction box on the ship is located in the crew quarters next to the batteries, and is marked with an arrow. In addition, the first few fuel rods may go quickly as the capacitors and batteries charge up. The Jarsuk also includes a fully functioning fire alarm.

The ballast tank includes a door leading straight into the crew quarters and battery array, so to avoid a shocking wakeup, mind the pulsing red warning light before opening the door, If its lit, don't enter it!


The most significant blind spot is located in the bottom left of the ship, and is equipped with an electrical discharge coil. The three weapons on this ship include a Pulse laser on the front, a Chaingun covering the top, and a Large Hardpoint on the bottom, incentivising the captain to remain above large targets and below swarms.

The Jarsuk is campaign ready, and while seasoned veterans might find it a bit strong, newer players will find that it remains small enough for their crew while providing the firepower required to explore the deeper depths.

From what I've noticed, the issue mostly stems from the battery array being left in its high-charge state once I dock, which whenever in normal gameplay is a coin flip of either the submarine being fine or the junction box controlling the array catching fire and dooming the ship for a moment. I resorted to turning off all ship systems, because once I repair the main junction box and return power to the ship, another junction box becomes most damaged and ends up causing another fire, which ALSO demolishes power. Other than that, I find the submarine very cozy and something that a large crew of six can enjoy without getting too large for my liking, so I am willing to put aside the battery issues and work around it with an actual player crew or a full bot crew like usual.

@Kobicha le Birb, I didn't personally have that issue, but that does sound frustrating. I'll take another look at the wiring, there is likely an error in the auto-balancing. For a temporary fix, you could try hitting the switch in Navigation to cut all power coming from the batteries whenever you dock, and rush the upgrade that prevents electrical components from catching fire, though I recognize those are temporary fixes and not an actual solution!

I have encountered a problem that's a bit detrimental to the submarine: I tried to use it for solo runs and almost every time I dock the sub, the battery array catches fire, which breaks power in the submarine and is taxing to fix, usually.
