Appreciate that adjustment/tip!
It did bring it back, but on my display it overlapped the outlier a bit awkwardly. However, since you pointed out where to adjust, I just bumped the outliner itself down a few px via "@outliner_window_pos_y = 108" (was y = 72) and instead did @outliner_tabs_pos_y = 81 which was just right.

I made some adjustments that allow anyone who wants to use the tabs to "activate" them manually in the files.

Yes, I removed them. I prefer how the outliner used to be, I left in the description how to activate all the tabs in just one using the Custom Outliner Tab [i.imgur.com].
