Can hydroponics tanks being damaged lead to the loss of the contained plant material? If so, why do they decay naturally until 50%, but can't be repaired until below 50%?
Is the fridge only supposed to slow the decay of cultivated plants?
Q: How long does it take to grow from seed bags to the full product?
A: About up to 20 minutes maybe. Tested w/ Raptor Bane Seed Bags.
Q: Can I still-use normal seeds?
A: Nope, hydroponic tanks will nuke normal seeds unless you process them into seed bags at the Plant Processor.
Q: Once the plants are fully-grown, will they drop loose items?
A: Apparently-not! When the plants become "Cultivated" versions of themselves, the plant-itself must be harvested from the tank and then processed in the Plant Processor for Material, which you can deconstruct. This gives you 1x normal product, and 2x seed bags so you can keep planting and farming!!
Good luck and have fun with less ship performance lag from too-many loose items!! Planter boxes? Water? We don't need those as long as we've got power.
(Part 1)
Q: Where can you buy the items?
A: Cities! A general goods vendor will have what you want, but hydroponics tanks cost around 600 credits, seed packs cost around 100 credits, then plant processors and seed banks cost around 1.2k credits each.
Q: When I buy these, where should they go?
A: Everything except for the seed bags are heavy two-handed objects, so try delivering to the ship!! They're big.
Q: How do I place down the objects?
A: Equip the objects and then hold RMB (right-mouse button) + press E to place.
Q: How do I hook these up?
A: Get some wires and a screwdriver so you can hook up the wires to your [POWER_IN] node on the objects, then link to a [POWER_OUT] node on either a junction box, supercapacitor, battery charger, or the reactor!! It's that-simple. You might get zapped tho.
