Sturmovik Interceptor (Clang Drive Atmo Fighter)

Atmospheric fighter loosely based on the IL-2 Sturmovik, named for its endurance. Intended to serve as an interceptor and bomber, not really a dogfighter. Capable of 104.38m/s in any environment. Guaranteed to catch anybody fleeing planetside.

Driven by 4 door/piston clang drives which work in space too. Armed with 8 autocannons under the fuselage and 2 gatling guns on the nose. 5 direction conventional atmospheric thrust. Only requires cobalt and magnesium as standard. Will not explode like a hydrogen ship. Clang drives are surprisingly resilient even if asymmetrically damaged. This aircraft is a flying tank.
