PM became the hallmark of the Soviet law enforcement agencies almost immediately after its development in 1948. The original weapon had a relatively weak 9x18 caliber cartridge, inferior in penetrating power to "older comrades". However, this upgraded version, distributed at Enterprise No. 3826, differs in a number of fundamental changes.

The polymer core of the cartridge transmits a much larger pulse during fragmentation, and the improved trigger mechanism allows you to produce more shots without loss of accuracy. As a result, the density of fire becomes higher, and the efficiency is greater. Despite the fact that, first of all, this weapon was created to counter the enemy's manpower, when in contact with PM machines, it also shows very high efficiency. The damaged neural network has hardly changed the assembly scheme of the PM, so special attention should be paid to the qualitative improvements of this weapon.
