描述
Notice before using the mod
To prevent future problem when you trying to edit mod settings. It is recommended that read the mod guide first by follow this link To Guide Section - by NEGAN

VSLib base mod. Admin System. Works with custom campaign but may causes crash or visual glitch if use with very detailed campaigns such as Chernobyl, works on Local Host and Dedicated Server

Both Ultra Particles and Textures mod are optional but you will not see some of tank effects. If you already sub'ed to every tempest's particles mods you don't need to sub to All in One Ultra Particles in requirement items

I DO NOT recommend to use this mod in Tank Challenge map. as each tank spawns a lot of particles, too many tanks at once may cause game crash due to engine error. although in my test, 6 tanks was still safe but i'm not 100% sure it wouldn't crash.

Custom TXT files
[For old users]
- Before Feb-13-2025 update.
You can remove old Super Tanks folder(supertanks) that in ems folder as it's no longer use.
The setting has 10 seconds delay before load into the script to take effect. meaning If you change any setting, it will take around 10 seconds before script applies the changes you made in setting files.
Go to [L4D2 Directory] > left4dead2 > ems > evericemod > super_tanks
Each setting file has explanation on top of file. You can add your own comment in each setting file with '#' sign.
general_setting.txt
- Creates when first time start a session with Super Tanks. Contains general settings.

tank_power_setting.txt
- Creates when first time start a session with Super Tanks. Contains every Tank powers settings such as Skill Damage, Skill Interval and more.

tank_setting.txt
- Creates when first time start a session with Super Tanks. This setting file has every setting for each Tank such as Health, Damage, Vairant and Overlord chance and more. you can set each tank to your own preference individually here. Finale_Only doesn't work in current version. i'm still working on it.

custom_tank_#.txt
- Locate inside custom_tanks folder. there will be 3 files already created by mod. These files are for your custom super tanks. Open custom_tank_1.txt to see the example of how to create custom tank properly. Please read every line inside

Custom Super Tanks
Create your own Super Tanks. You can combine every powers that has been made to create your own preference Tank. Read the mod guide for full details how to set up your own super tanks

About Tank Special Powers
Randomly gives Tank special power when spawns. Tank has 4 different class when spawn, base on chance in setting.
***Special Powers are disable in Dead Center Hotel chapter. because many effects use inside the building. spawning more effects will most likely crash the game

Common
- Common class are standard powers in the mod. Tank with these powers are usually easy to deal with.

Variant: Default spawn rate is 30%
Higher priority over common when hit the chance. Meaning if you set Variant_chance to 100 in setting, Tank will always be Variant class.
- An alternate class of Commons. Tank with theses powers are enhanced or difference in skills.

Overlord: Default spawn rate is 10%
Note: Only one Overlord class can be spawned at a time unless set to more than 1 in setting file.
Overlord class has priority over Variant class. if you set overlord spawn chance to 100% it will be always overlord class. except Overlord Tank limit is at maximum.
- The most powerful class in this mod. Tank with theses powers have large AoE skills and high damage. Immune to fire damage.

Hidden: Default spawn rate is 1%
Highest priority when hit the chance.
- Danger.

First no, there is no other option to prolong the crash. it's the entity index, nothing to do with graphic.

If you mean your custom tank chance. Currently there us no option yet. So the chance will be 50/50 if you set spawn both super tanks from premade and custom.
If you want to spawn your custom super tanjs only then set it in general file

hello thanks for the reply, understood on engine limitation.

is there anything i can do like lowering graphics, minimizing effects, console commands, tick rate, etc to help prolong the inevitable (maximize more failed runs)?

as for custom tank sorry but i dont see variable for special / custom chance.
i've tested by adding Overlord_Chance = X (0 or 100% chance to spawn overlord/variant) to the custom tank file for that custom tank's common version but it doesnt seem to be working. both versions still keep spawning, my biggest issue is how the chance to roll for custom tanks is very high like 90% so i rarely see the other non-custom tanks spawn

Sadly no. When you play, either you win or restart the engine will keep createing a new entry index. You can check by using console command status you will see entity index.
After that many repeats no wonder the game will likely crash

About tank chance you can set each class in mod setting files but still mod will spawn in superior priority special > overlord > variant > common.
Eg you set special to 1, overlord to 5, variant to 30
When tank spawns mod will do special rng if not hits the jackpot > do overlord rng if hits then spawn overlord

also is there any way to adjust custom tank chance? it always spawn in priority even if its overlord..

hi negan thanks for the reply, I only play official maps and everything works fine until 10-15th failed repeat. so i remedy it by just restarting client after 4-5 failed runs, but public players find this tedious. i am not familiar with technicalities but is there no way to reset/reload all the stress/build up in the engine everytime the map is restarted?

@James , some custom maps are heavily edited with extra particles and textures which is the cause of your crash problem as the mod creator explained in the description. When a super tank with various screen effects spawns, the game engine can't hold so much together unfortunately.

is there anyway to make this mod crash less? after around 10-15 repeat of failed runs of same map i get overflow error. will lowering graphics to low help?

Default speed value for Death is 0.8 as you can see in the tank_power_setting.txt. This value is 1 in default for other super tanks who don't have any speed powers (which is the regular tank's speed).
If you increase that value beyond 1, death tank will move even faster than a regular tank. Making it 2 means 2 times faster which i do not recommend for a super tank that can one shoot survivors xD

@₦Ɇ₲₳₦ Miraculously, when I adjusted the chance to 15%, the Overlord type appeared again—thank you for your support. By the way, may I ask about the Death Tank’s speed customization? When the value is increased, does that make its speed go up or down?
