Tainted Jacob Rework

描述
This mod makes Tainted Jacob gain broken hearts instead of immediately turning into the lost.

I liked the idea behind Tainted Jacob, but I dislike that his gimmick is that he turns into a harder preexisting character when you get hit by Esau. Now contact with Esau will remove a heart and grant you some broken hearts instead of ending your run. If you have no more hearts to give, then it will revert to turning you into the lost. For balancing, every floor you complete will also remove 1 broken heart.

You can also get some value from those broken hearts because Jacob now starts with Heartbreak, even if you haven't unlocked it yet.

The hope is that Tainted Jacob becomes a more fun and unique character to play, maybe even one to go back to after completing all the achievements.

Let me know if you find any bugs or if you have any comments/suggestions/think its too easy.

Maybe it isn't, but that's how the Heartbreak Item works after all. No wonder it's such a good item on Lost.

sounds like a real good way to balance things, but it doesn't seem to work as intended. the heartbreak item used for the effect doesn't seem to be exclusive to the effect, and prevents dying as the lost for a few hits. i don't think this is intentional?

hey i'd love to use this mod but it doesn't seem to be working properly anymore? in my case jacob does start with heartbreak but he still gets turned into lost form right away when hit by dark esau, only now he gets broken hearts and loses health on top lol. is this a REP+ issue?

Fantastic mod. This makes the character more playable and less like torture. I did however, change the mod so that only one broken heart gets added, but that was extremely easy to do thanks to your easy to read code and comprehensible commenting!
