There is a minor thing with huge rocks. Units moving on their edges get on top of them but then harmlessly get back on ground.
I also got two ver. from steam. For me one with more pop points is far more fun. I don’t mean the income but it makes a map tactically deeper/bigger.

I'm playing your map and I like a lot it's layout. I hope you will enjoy polishing it.
Just a thought - maybe it could evolve into full grown oasis with windy dunes and vivid flora... but it's up to you of course; do you have any plans how it should finally look ?
It's also quite small for a 8p... and it's fun.
