Brandistock from Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

A brandistock is essentially a glorified gravity knife: it's a spear with three retractable blades that lock in place on a forward thrust.


A cool and unusual spear type weapon to replace the pitchfork. I remember when I backed off from this game's assets because it's on Unreal Engine 3, and now I'm back to it because it's on Unreal Engine 3, and I already have experience with Umodel. It is a goldmine for fans of medieval weaponry with cool sounding names (or for Diablo players I guess). This mod has custom blood maps, straight from Chivalry. I tried reverse-engineering several melee mods with custom blood, but ended up learning more from Ellie's guide on material proxies. Sometimes (only sometimes) reverse-engineering isn't the best solution. The blood map changes appearance on 1st, 3rd, and 5th hit. There's probably a more optimized solution than the one I came up with, but it works and therefore I won't touch it lest it breaks.
