Spike Island, Ireland [Map]

Spike Island is an island in Cork Harbor, Ireland. Originally the site of a monastic settlement, the island is dominated by an 18th-century bastion fort now named Fort Mitchel. The island's strategic location within the harbor meant it was used at times for defense and as a prison. The island remained in use as a garrison and prison through the Irish War of Independence, when IRA prisoners were held there.

This map uses a GPS height-map to accurately generate terrain. The fort is in the relatively correct shape compared with real life, and buildings are in places where they realistically would be. This map includes the docks, graveyard, fort, nearby houses, and larger buildings within Fort Mitchel. There is also accurately placed farmland, trees, rocks, bushes, roads, and beaches. I made this for a Irish War of Independence mission, but it can be used for any other years as well since the island hasn't changed drastically in the last 200 years.
