Gallade

Galllade is a Pokemon inspired character, using a Tag-Fighter Assist system.

Every attack/move is based on attacks from Pokemon and revolve around setplay, extensive and creative combos. This cahracter can also be played in different playstyles depending how you enjoy playing. Rushdown for example IS an option he has. Considering he does have "fireballs" and classic DPs, he would also be considered a shoto Fighter.

This is a huge Collaboration between Hibiki (did all the sprites) and I (Nuion, did coding and vfx).
This was only possible because j8bit_forager comissioned us on this.

Moveset


Normals

Slash Universal main tool, use this to extend your combos
Brick Break Pulls down, good for grounded combo extensions
Low Kick Hits low, pulls enemy towards you
Fury Cutter Multihit, can be cancelled every 3 hits
X-Scissor Big damage but slow
Aqua Cutter Your shoto Dragon Punch uppercut, has super armor
Psycho Cut Main projectile tool, can hit close range, can be stringed into itself
Leaf Blade 3 Hit Gap closer
Shadow Claw Sends enemy downwards, good to ground enemy


Specials

Aura Sphere Setplay projectile, can control speed. Also has knockback to get out of situations
Aerial Ace Aimable teleport with hitbox, good to follow up in difficult situation, does little damage, high damage poration
Stone Edge Creates Pillar on enemy from the ground. Good to create +Frames to setup.
Swift Shoots 3 diagonal projectiles with slightly randomized positioning
Swords Dance Damage buffs, lasts for the next 2 Hits (can be applied to anything, including supers), adds 20% damage.
Ice Punch Freezes enemy in air, high knockback if you miss the unfreeze



Supers

Gardevoir Assist Cost: 0 Bar. Spawns Gardevoir, she shoots out a black hole, pulls enemy in, has a hitbox.
Night Slash Cost: 1 Bar. Good damage, good framedata, big hitbox. Your bread and butter to add extra damage.
Iron Valiant Assist Cost: 2 Bar. Spawns Iron Valiant, they shoot spawn a huge slash on the enemy directly, does high damage, good for setplay and creates pressure
Mega Evolution - Giga Impact Cost: 3 bar, Transforms into Gallades Mega Evolution and does Giga Impact, does high damage and (should) always hit when you confirm with the initial hit.


Movement

Teleport Teleports you a long distance, easy to punish since gallade already has many movement tools
Double Team Gives Invincibility between frame 3 and 10
