If you have it, you know, but if you don’t, then in short, hemophilia is a condition that affects the process of hemostasis, meaning your blood doesn't clot properly, and your bleeding lasts longer. You can fight it back by injecting (in this type of hemophilia) Factor VIII, which your body lacks. However, it’s only a temporary fix.

• Moderate hemophilia A (1-5%) +4
  
• Severe hemophilia A (<1%) +8

These traits affect only external bleeding, so no bruises or other internal bleedings, at least for now.

With the Moderate hemophilia, your bleeding lasts longer and prevents the wound from healing. However, for minor wounds, it may stop on its own without needing a Factor VIII injection.

In the case of the Severe hemophilia, your bleeding, no matter how small, will most probably never stop without a Factor VIII injection, and wounds stay open.

Actually, with both types, there is small chance (smaller with severe type) that bleeding will stop on its own, but easy, don’t pump yourself up, control your emotions.
Bleeding can start again if the wound isn’t fully healed and you don’t take Factor VIII injection.

The mentioned factor can be found in your world, especially in hospitals and any places where you can find other medications.


You have to be careful because scratches, no matter how small, won’t heal if they bleed, and even with moderate hemophilia, deep cuts or lacerations without Factor VIII will likely stay with you until your character perishes.

Okay, so you like it hard and now your character is going to bleed for eternity? Or you like the outdoors and live in the wilds without even a chance to find Factor VIII?
Let me tell you about:
It's a herb you can use, even without having hemophilia. Look for it in the forest.
You can put a couple of them in a pot of water or saucepan, boil it, and soak bandages in it. Pretty much like disinfecting bandages with water.
Now, a bandage soaked in yarrow decoction will help you with bleeding. It won't work like Factor VIII, but it will greatly increase your chance of stopping the bleeding.
