SKS, but it's made in China.

The SKS is a Soviet designed rifle introduced right before WW2 ended. Although it did saw its use by the Red Army troops, it's existence became overshadowed by the AK-47 which was adopted a few years later. Blueprints were provided to the Soviet Union's allies as part of the a military aid program, and China was one of them.
Known as the 五六式 - 半自动步枪 (Type 56 - Semiautomatic Rifle), the visual aspects of the rifle is near identical to the Soviet counterpart, with some very minor differences. Early models were manufactured by State Factories, with later models produced by Norinco. The Type 56 Carbine was adopted during the same year as the Type 56 AK in 1956, hence the similarity in names, and served the People's Liberation Army for 2 decades. Many surplus rifles after it's service years were exported worldwide, with USA and Canada being one of Norinco's biggest markets.
