Update: CA has added this feature natively. This mod is no longer needed.

Legendary saving system, but for all difficulties.

Original work made by Vanishoxyact for Warhammer 2, so all props go to him. He's currently unreachable, so I went ahead and updated this for Warhammer 3. If he wants this taken down I will immediately comply.

This mod disables manual saving and quicksaving, and automatically saves your game at the start and end of each turn, and before and after each battle. This makes for a more hardcore experience where every move matters and cheesing fights is harder.

It is advised to disable Incremental Auto-saves before enabling the mod, otherwise you'll still have multiple autosaves to load back to.

Changes from the original mod:
Warhammer 3 doesn't recognize the script's toggle feature for some reason, making you unable to enable Ironman Mode with F10, and my scripting knowledge is too limited to find out why. So instead, this mod now comes pre-enabled. Any campaign you load with this mod enabled will now become an Ironman campaign.

Can be installed mid-campaign.
I do not recommend uninstalling it mid-campaign.

Looking really good and used it plenty of times with vanilla.
However it falls apart with SFO as it is triggering an auto save for each and every single AI turn which creates a massive turn time lag and breaks saves.
Still a fantastic mod for vanilla, thanks!

thank god, Ironman is a staple of EU4 and I should not suffer thru legendary difficulty to enable it

It might? I have never tried a multiplayer campaign so I can't know for sure to be frank.

Does this work in multiplayer campaigns? legendary in coop campaigns only saves at the end of each turn its really annoying if you crash and have to replay 3 fights
