THE IMC AEGIS
Tier 3 Heavy Destroyer

The Aegis is largest direct combat vessel of the IMC fleet. Designed to dominate the largest of beasts and most fearsome of pirates found within the deep waters of Europa. This vessel features dual ammo loaders feeding each turret for prolonged engagements and is equipped with 90% surround coverage of the heaviest munitions available.

An incremental duct drainage system works in tandem with the three heavy bilges to limit loss of buoyancy while all primary systems are located mid-deck and flood proofed. This complimentary system allows the Aegis to not only deal heavy damage but absorb significant damage as well.

Loaded with tons of features like a system control board, stealth mode, turbo mode, heavy cargo, full facilities and typical IMC circuitry.

NOTICE: This is a large sub with many objects and may perform poorly on slow computers. To ensure the system control board displays properly please make sure "VISIBLE LIGHT LIMIT" slider in game video options is set to 100 or higher.

The Aegis System Control Board Features:

Doors & Hatches:
Lights change from red to green when door or hatch is in use. Click light to lock corresponding door or hatch. Mouse over light to see name of door or hatch.

Turrets:
Click light to disable corresponding turret and turn off turret light. Connected supercapacitor charge percentage is displayed over each turret.

Drain Ducts:
Click light to close and lock drain ducts by deck. Click again to return to automatic mode.

Camera Selection:
Click on the first letter of each room to select the camera for that room. Use the nearby periscope to view the selected camera.

Alert Lighting:
Flashing red lights fill the background of each room and will turn on when sensing water, smoke or enemies. An enemy detection light will flash on the board when enemies are detected outside the vessel in the near vicinity.

Emergency Battery Powered Control Room
The control room is powered by a shuttle battery that engages in the event of power loss. This battery is separate from the vessels normal battery power and does not engage unless reactor and batteries fail to supply power.

Incremental Drainage System
The number of drainage ducts on each deck doubles for each deck down. This ensures the above rooms can drain without flooding lower rooms. The large heavy bilges on the bottom deck pump out massive amounts of water to prevent buildup.

Stealth Mode
The stealth mode turns off all exterior lights and disables turrets. Turrets can be re-enabled manually while in stealth from the control board. Stealth mode also engages a stealth engine and pump system while shutting down primary systems, including large bilge pumps. Engaging stealth will also disable turbo mode and prevent its activation. Interior lighting will change to a blue color while in stealth. Stealth mode does not turn off or disable sonar, which should be turned off manually for full stealth benefits.

Turbo Mode
Turbo mode engages a secondary large engine for a large increase in acceleration and top speed at the expense of a significant power drain on systems. Lighting on the pilot's console will display the gear turbo mode is in as power usage scales with gear. Engaging stealth will disable turbo mode.

Internal Turrets
Two internal mini-gun turrets are located in the cargo bay and main ballast tank. They can be controlled from a periscope in the Armory. The periscope will display security cameras unless a Security Officer or Captain enable the turret controls by clicking a button on the security desk in the Armory. The button can be clicked again to return periscope back to camera mode.

Xytal: I always appreciate the feedback! I will add a suit locker in the command room on the next update. Really glad you are liking the designs!

@blacklight okay that makes sense about enforcer we had bots for our gunners besides the railgun, and we were taking on endworms back to back quite well. Aegis we have all the guns manned and it felt like the fish were getting in and or damaging it quite easily, we did swap out some of the guns, and it feels like its doing better, had to use barocraftables to add a diving suit locker to command deck so i quickly put on a suit when the glass was breached, its survivable after using some mods, either way we love your ship designs, specially since they bot friendly~ sorry if it seems like im complaining in previous comments, it was not my intention, im just bad at articulating words correctly.

Xytal: The Aegis requires a fairly large crew + bots to really man it effectively. Drain ducts can be closed by floor and it has internal guns, so it is intended to be a breach challenge at vanilla difficulty. The Enforcer is good for a medium sized crew and was designed to survive modded or more difficult gameplay.

Did notice this thing is very squishy compared to the Enforcer mark2, guessing the enforcer had extra hull on it? The aegis even with max hull upgrades breaks open super easily and the command deck is a death trap. we might sadly have to go back to the tier 2 to safely navigate the end game.

You don't have to work on it if you think we could set one up like the tier 2 sub has (aegis has the buzzer alarm system, but i haven't found a switch for captain to have the sub wide alarm system, maybe overlooked it in mission mode, but chances are we will buy the version without shuttle in campaign tonight as we reached the great sea. i do thank you for responding and being friendly about the questions though ^.^ me and my friends really love your subs, specially since they tend to have bot support.

Xytal: It should have an emergency alert mode that activates the sirens. Activated from security or command. Its not a hassle to add really. Mainly depends on if the bots cooperate or get stuck. I work on that for you some time soon.

Curious how hard it would for me or my electrician friend to setup during the campaign an emergency siren like the enforcer mk2 has, up in the aegis by the time we get to tier 3 land? And if your willing to make the alternate version that would be neat, but if it would be a hassle for it to fit then it makes sense why you went with the smaller shuttle~
Blacklight  [作者] 2024 年 12 月 17 日 下午 4:18
Xytal: The lower ports are off of the ballast or bilges. Due to the water gathering there, it is not the best location for a shuttle. One can be added via the editor however. This weekend I can post a version with the shuttle for you if you like.

Curious why the combat shuttle from havana/enforcer mk2 are not available on the aegis? or if i buy the version without the shuttle, and subscribe to the combat shuttle mod, is there a way to buy it during campaign, or do i have to use sub editor for that?

Traxex: You bet! glad it helped!
