Turtle Submersible

Here is the Turtle submersible.

The Turtle was the world first submersible used in combat. It was built by David Bushnell in 1775 during the American Revolutionary War for use against British ships. The sub was designed to attach explosives on enemy ships. In 1776, she attempted to attack the HMS Eagle, but the attack failed. The fate of Turtle is unknown, but there are many replicas of the sub still around today.
