The "Plainsmaker'' model gets its name from the Plainsmaker cannons on its shoulders, which are said to be capable of leveling mountains, leaving nothing but a scorched plain. This, of course, is an exaggeration, which players were quick to point out. In fact, while the Plainsmaker cannons were impressive from a technical perspective, they were utterly overshadowed on the battlefields by the infamous rustspike launchers of the "Isolator" model mechs. This, combined with its many unorthodox features, caused players to question the design choices of the AI and the development team of the war game.
