Arcane Elemental Faction Replacement

描述
This mod replaces the Arcane faction with a custom Elemental faction. Faction mods add custom factions to the game, but this mod changes an existing faction to create a new faction, and only uses content already in the game. In a bit more detail, what this mod does is it:

- Allows you to purchase 10 different Elemental units in your city instead of Arcane's regular units
- Gives Arcane's heroes new unit masteries to match your new elemental units
- Changes hero skill trees. Some skills are replaced or moved around, but most are the same
- Replaces Goblin Gunners and Arcanists from starting heroes and those hired at the Tavern with Aetherthings and Crystallius
- Changes the Archmage Tribunal's skill from Wisdom to Creation
- Changes the faction's element to Water, and changes their Adventure spells as well
- Replaces Arcane's faction buildings with 3 new buildings
--- The Mana Solidifier strengthens the forms of your Elementals, making them more durable. Grants +3 Defense the first time a hero visits a town with a Solidifier. Also boosts the growth of Aetherthings by 5
--- The Mana Collector gathers ambient mana, attracting Elementals over time. Each day generates 1 Aetherthing (50%), Crystallius (40%), or Arcanetation (10%). Also provides +1 Knowledge the first time a hero visits the town
--- The Gold Hoard is a massive pile of gold. Having a large amount lying around attracts Gold Elementals to your city, who each add a small amount to the hoard. Generates Child of Midas every day, giving 100 gold per unit generated. Number of units is equal to sqrt(Player gold)/35


The eventual goal of this mod is to get as close to a normal faction mod as possible without actually making a faction mod. There's a few things that haven't been changed/can't be changed the way I want, so at the moment this mod mainly serves to show some of what is possible with custom scripting.

- Changed faction element and adventure spells
- Changed hero skill trees

***Update 1/9/23 Ver 0.8.1***
- Slight changes to Solidifier and Collector
- Updated how the Archmage Tribunal skill is handled
- Rewrote code to handle town generation, so Settlements now work properly and no longer crash the game


***Notes***
- Lexicon still shows vanilla Arcane units. This is because the mod changes what units a town generates, not what units a faction has
- Town reinforcements from Fort and it's upgrades are still vanilla Arcane units. Same reason
- Heroes look like they will start with Goblin Gunners and/or an Arcanist in their army. These units are replaced as soon as the game starts/hero is hired
- This mod is an easy way to get the Power of Elementals achievement, but you cannot get this achievement if you have Sand Devils or Crystallius in your army (your T4 units). These units are not technically Elementals according to the game, but they look like Elementals so I used them.


For reporting game crashes, check your Local mod folder for a file called AEFR_lastScript.txt, and please include that in your report. This file will be blank unless one of the custom scripts included in this mod was interrupted by a crash. Oh yeah also I really like your ideas for the mana solidifier, mana collector, and gold hoard. Any way to just get those to replace the default special buildings?

Tried it on both and get the same error each time. i'm using the ant, bee, and cthulhu faction mods but wouldn't that not do anything to this since it's just base game faction changes?

@Arvay6 is this from version 2.3.2d or the next_update beta? The next beta is making changes to how some menus work in game, and some modding features, so this mod won't work for it at the moment.
