This map was designed for The Specialists, a mod Half-Life. The game became quite popular around 2003 and 2004 and had some pretty amazing special effects for GoldSrc, specially the bullet time effect which worked really well for a multiplayer game of the era.

Q: I don't see entities in the game (models/skybox)
A: Open the primary viewport settings. After launching the dialog box, go to Draw Game Entities --> Select other entities/particles.
