Random Traveler Start

描述
Looking for a start with a dash of randomness, but not total chaos?
Begin as a wandering traveler. Which city you stumbled into, and what happens next, is your story to tell.

This game start is pretty straightforward: you get a single, unarmed character with *all* stats randomly ranging from 1–25. You'll spawn in one of 40 neutral cities or towns, with 5,000 cats and some basic clothing. Plus, you can choose your character's looks, gender, and race!

WARNING: Neutral cities/towns include Holy Nation territory. You can pick any race you want, but there's a 7.5% chance to spawn in one of their cities. So, if you choose to play as a Skeleton and get unlucky... well, you're in for a very interesting start.
There is also a 2.5% chance to spawn in Black Desert City. The acid rain won't kill you outright and you should have plenty of time to get indoors. Making it out of the Deadlands, however, will prove to be quite the challenge.

To determine viable spawn points, I followed this rule: the city or town must be neutral to the player and have at least one shop available.

This mod is compatible with all other mods and can be kept fairly high in your load order, since it only adds a new game start without modifying existing data.

My Thoughts: Other randomized start mods often go for 1–100 stats and include hostile locations like the Cannibal Capital. That felt a little too chaotic for me. I wanted something more controlled; still random, but more manageable.

To make a start character with random stats, here's a quick breakdown:
1) Go to Characters > Stats, create a new stat preset. Set each stat to the middle value of your desired range (e.g. 13 for a 1–25 range).
2) Go to Characters, create a new character. Assign the stat preset you just made. Under "levels," set "stats randomise" to half the range (e.g. 12 for 1–25, since 13±12 = 1–25).
3) Go to Faction > Squads, create a new squad and set your new character as the leader.
4) Go to Game Starts, create a new start and add your squad to it.

Pls tell me how to make a start character with random skill points in FCS? I dont know how to do that.

Also, I just booted up a new Skeleton start to test and I spawned in Squin. Mod is working as intended.

@Pit13 Thank you for the kind words! And I agree. I always find myself cheesing the first 10ish levels anyway, so I figured this would be more fun! Plus I tend to min-max a bit too much with a blank slate. This forces me to be like "oh, well they have 20 in Katanas, let's invest in Katanas" instead of just playing the same min-maxed build every time I restart.

I love this game, but I often have a hard time restarting. This is going to make the game so much more re-playable 11/10
