Mauser Karabiner 98k with S84/98 III bayonet from Call of Duty: World at War

The most commonly issued rifle of Germany during WWII. Although as long as its counterparts, it is called a "carbine", being a shorter version of a rather long Gewehr 98. Its bolt action mechanism is legendary. Being a Mauser, it is a valuable addition to anyone's collection, especially actual war-issued specimens. The last-ditch models, known as "Kriegsmodell"s, were much simplified and suffered a significant drop in quality.

Replaces the Pitchfork (model only)

Fun fact: it was going to be a trench shotgun with a bayonet initially. Alas, the clipping was egregious, Arisaka and Springfield only slightly less so. Turns out the Mauser is the thinnest of the rifles in WaW and the clipping issues aren't as noticeable, so I went with it. Having an empty/non-functional gun with a functional bayonet can be a bit disorienting, so in my planned mod I might stick a bayonet onto a Type 100 submachine gun solely for eye candy reasons. Which is also going to be disorienting, if the animations even fit and I don't end up scrapping the idea entirely.

As mentioned in the description, the Arisaka model has much more noticeable clipping on these animations. Also, every army used bayonets in WW2, just typically not in suicide charges because people tend to value their lives unless they're Japanese or Russian.

I don't know. It's a weapon reskin that changes the model and nothing else.
