Bullgod's Horse Texture Mod

描述
This mod changes the textures of horses, making the animals themselves appear to be more crisp and altering their reins to be darker. Notable fixes are made to horses' manes and to the reins of light cavalry as well.

The comparison images aren't great but hopefully they give you a good idea of what changes the mod makes.

This mod applies to RotS and FotS as well since they all use the same horses.


If you use Enkei's 10A retextures then this mod is redundant. Furthermore, make sure you are not using a mod that edits the horse textures to avoid incompatibility issues.

@Fencer I checked again in game. Yep, 10A mods did used this retexture, the fixed saddle and horse's skin are the same

I see there is horse folder in unitparts of Enkei's retexture, not sure if it's the same

Possibly, but the ones that I know of never incorporate it. Bullgod's other mods, like his generals mod, are a lot more popular while this one seemed to have been mostly forgotten. Which is a shame because light cavalry reins being invisible is easily the most obvious visual glitch in the game.

do some other retexture mod already including this? I think I have seen this in Enkei's 10A mods

Been trying to find a horse master for ETW, NTW and S2TW for a long time.. Good job. It would be very cool if we continue to improve both the textures and even the models of horse equipment by creating a full-fledged model of the reins.
