It's highly recommended that you install the "Unofficial Community Patch" and "Miaschiev - Achievement Tracker", both by DarkStarSword, just so that the "Journal entry from Sanchez #1" spawns (cuz it has a chance of not doing so), and if you picked that note but it wasn't added to the journal, you can reset it with Miaschiev, so it can be picked up again.

Notes with more than one location won't appear in other locations if you've already picked them up, except for Basic Gameplay Notes.

There are about four notes that teach you some of the basics in the game.


The "Instructions for Researching Plants" and "Instruction for Synthesizing Medicines" notes can be found in any lab type house and are found early in the game.



The "A Document on Mapping and Cartography" and "A Guide to Cartography and Triangulation B, C" notes can be found on any cartography table, they are also found early in the game.

There are about fourteen maps in the game.

Follow the trail to the right at Outpost Draco, then you will reach this house at the shore.


Found in the lab at Outpost Sirius.


At Outpost Sirius, you will find "A Map to a Tall Plant with a Golden Spadix". This map will reveal a trail to Outpost Rigel, where you will find "A Regional Map for Outpost Rigel" in the second house.


From the lab at R1 head between west and northwest, following the sand, until you find a trail that goes up the hill, there will be two tents, the note is in the one on the right (or left looking at the screenshot).


Found in the house next to the Head Statue at Outpost Draco.


Just follow the Swamp Trail, at its end there will be a fallen apple tree, the tent will be next to it.


Found in the house at Outpost Vega, southwest of the lab.


From the lab at Outpost Vega, head to the right trail (the one that goes north) and keep following it until you see a owl statue. From that statue, head north and you will see a house and a lab, the map will be in the house.

Also, there is a trail that leads to this place.


From the tent at the end of the Swamp Trail, head north until you see the lake. On the other side of the lake there will be a lab with the map of Outpost Tau.

Or, from the lab at Outpost Vega, head to the right trail (the one that goes north) and keep following it until you see that same lake.


At the Outpost Tau, follow the river until it flows into the sea, then head right and you may find the tent near the sand.


There are two known locations for this map.

LOCATION 1Located in the lab at Ruin Site C.

From Outpost Draco, go to the other side of the lake (to the island north of Outpost Draco) and you will find a desert, in the desert will be Ruin Site C. Also, this area is surrounded by hills.

LOCATION 2Found in the tent on the other side of the big lake, north of Outpost Draco.


Found in the uppermost hut in the Outpost Polaris.

To get to the Outpost Polaris, head north from the lab in Ruin Site C until you reach the shore. From there, follow the trail near it (eastwards) until you reach a path between the hills. At the end of this path will be a ruined structure, past this structure will be a trail. From this trail you will reach Outpost Polaris.


After picking up "A Region Map for the Orchadae-Helius" at Outpost Polaris, you may find "A Map to Boat Landing" in the left hut (or right looking at the screenshot) at P1.

There are about eleven notes in the game that tell its lore (aside from newspapers and photos).
