C-502-D1 Orca - Cargo ship

Vanilla, survival ready and only 1 pilot are the key aspects of the C-502 design.



Based on the successful C-502-B2 , the D1 modification continues the legacy of a small-sized utility ship, this time specialized on carrying cargo in a more compact form.

Unlike its predecessor, this Orca is significantly cheaper to produce. Although it can't enjoy the benefits of a jump drive or a survival kit, it can deliver over 3 times it's own mass worth of supplies.
At just 307t the Orca can easily move 840t on Pertam or 1000t to and from Earth without needing to refuel during the round trip... twice. On top of that the energy requirements are so low that the two onboard batteries will last indefinitely. With a bit of sunshine, it pretty much doesn't need them.




Multiple connectors and merge blocks allow to securely carry wide array of additional modules for mining, thrust or weapon systems.

Deliver packages to Earth and beyond, where no one else is brave or stupid enough to go to.
