Smooth Walls Look Constructed

描述


Tweaks the smoothed walls to appear as constructed rock block walls.

Custom engraved rock block wall textures included that should be more visible than vanilla engravings.


To install, click the 'mods' button when creating a new world and then enable this mod

Make sure it is placed ABOVE the Vanilla - Environment graphics in the load order for it to work!

Manual Installation

NOTE: This will overwrite your vanilla files!
        
  1. Locate your game install folder and go to: mods/2903899471/graphics/images
        
  2. Copy the two textures inside the folder
        
  3. Back to the root install folder, and then to: data/vanilla/vanilla_environment
       
  4. Delete "wall_stone_smoothed" and "wall_stone_engraved"
       
  5. Paste the two modded textures, and RENAME THEM the filenames from the step above
       
  6. Load up a save and see if it has been replaced

If you want to revert to the vanilla textures after a manual install, simply delete "wall_stone_smoothed" and "wall_stone_engraved" and then right click the game in your steam library > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files. The vanilla files should be re-acquired by Steam.

I tried with v52.04 and the mod is still working. Check the mod itself if it's still missing in your game via Main Menu > Mods > Click the filename of this mod.

If there are no textures present in the files or for some reason it's not showing up, unsubscribe, delete any traces of it in your data/installed_mods or mods folder and try resubscribe.

Do the walls change color depending on the type of stone? I am looking for a mod to change all stone types to the same color when smoothed. I am getting tired of having my fortresses look like a bag of skittles.

I really appreciate how this mod makes it so I can fill in gaps left by ore without feeling annoyed by the huge difference in tile appearance.

I would like it if the engraved block walls had the same updated engraving visual as the engraved smooth rock walls.
