It's very wave-defense like, without the defense
difficulty stays the same throughout (as long as you have 3+ players) and it doesn't get easier
It's a gauntlet of pain and I love it
Forcing you out of your comfort zone by having to fly each plane works suprisingly well. Adds to the intensity when you're struggling to survive while refreshing the muscle memory for each plane.
The first contact in the VTOL was genius, and the final objective is absolute chaos I've never experienced in this game before.
Some excellent attention to detail - putting effort into the terrain and adding checkpoints is a great improvement.
If I had to offer some minor suggestions: the terrain can be a bit spiky at points, I think one of my wingmen spotted a group spawning for an ambush during tier 1, could be more subtle if they spawned low altitude behind hills when possible.
Some voice comms or a soundtrack would go a long way, but those certainly aren't trivial additions. I'll have to slap on some Ace Combat or Project Wingman OSTs when I replay it!
Again: BIG recommendation
