Suppressed HK UMP-45 with EOTech EXPS3 from CoD: Modern Warfare 3

A German submachine gun intended to become a cheaper and more modern alternative to the MP5. Also offered in 9mm and .40 chamberings, and even a civilian version exists. The UMP has a bolt catch, but many videogame animators disregard that, instead opting for the more iconic "HK slap" or a simple bolt pull.


Seeing that MW3 remaster ain't happening, I no longer have any reason to wait for a specific date to release more guns from that game. I like this model better than the one from MW2, as it doesn't have an extra receiver rail (despite missing one from the handguard) and some random embellishments like it's a Star Wars prop or something. It even has a modeled ejection port (sort of; it's just a fence and a flat texture, so it's not animated in the world model). I wanted to make an unsuppressed version, but the MP5 slot uses a lower quality sound and I haven't figured out how to crush the bitrate and not make it sound like a dying toy speaker. I tried to fool the game by making a mono sound with 44100 kHz instead of 22050 stereo one, and it worked but still sounded like a 22050 with the added bonus of actually being mono, making it even worse. The laser sight comes from Black Ops II, and there's a holographic sight for extra tacticool. The gun's full of rails, we should use them.
