US Navy E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AWACS) cargo plane, model and texture by WTigerTw. E-2D is the current AWACS for US Naval Aviation on the aircraft carrier, served as the carrier strike groups ear and eye for early warning and battle field management. It is the latest development of the legendary E-2 series which has the first E-2A join the fleet in 1964. The E-2D is the latest version and is the only carrier capable fixed wing AWACS system in the world at this time.
