Before the island defense update, turrets could only be acquired by capturing an island with turrets still alive on it. Since the update, this is a forgotten mechanic with no practical use. This mod aims to fix this by giving more slots to turrets which will be filled by random generation on enemy islands. This provides an incentive to capture turrets alive again as they have an infinite utility slot and a gimbal cam slot rotated for ground use at the cost of inverted controls. These can allow infinite smoke, infinite IR flares, infinite sonic pulses, etc. as well as an anchor point for naval/vehicle support.

yes but this has to abide by natural equipment generation, both of those do not work
if i put a slot for a ground vehicle cam, it will spawn another turret and look super broken
if i put the slot for the carrier camera(off the top of my head, 5 or 0) same thing
the carrier equipment in paticular is where the game simply shoves a preset loadout onto your ship at spawn and thus cannot spawn naturally
not to mention the base turret slot for ground turrets is very special for whatever reason despite being 5 and the game throws a fit if its not present

To fix the inverted controls have you tried using the ground gimbal cam or the ship one? they both work if you edit the saves

no, but its very easy on how it works
just adding some attachments from other vehicles, repositioning them, and the random generation of turret weapons and equipment fills them in.
