Created by PwNyTaR (RIP), this map was first released in 2011 as part of the Halo 1.5 mod for original Xbox. Leading up to the Halo 1 NHE mod release in 2018, insidi0us and DSalimander did an art pass on the whole level, adding distinct lighting and visual consistency to this fan favorite map. Imminent is considered by many to be one of the most original competitive maps included in the Halo 1.5 lineup. The original version contained a giant animated ring and the moon from Majora's Mask - which was replaced in the new version by a distant Halo ring, specifically positioned to ease a certain grenade trick...
