Just a little more alive.

Using the forage system, you can meet several types of traders in trailerparks and town zones. Trading goods themselves act as currency. You can only make one trade per meet. Also if no trade is to be done the trader dissapears after 3 days. You can also pick up the trader and bring them into your base - they weight alot so I suggest using cars? Traders are put under "Stones" category on foraging focus.

Traders are divided into several specialization groups. All traders accept all item groups from you and all of them can trade with certain materials but only specialized traders can give you certain types of items - such as ammo, tools or medicine.

It uses a bulk trade system so you need to have a high amount of certain survival goods on you that can be traded for a package of other stuff of your choosing that also have a slight randomization added to it so same category deals won't always be the same. I recommend using Craft Helper to see exact input values for some of the trade deals as the vanilla won't show some of the unit related stuff in recipes. This mod is meant for long games and traders are rare to be found - I think. Haven't tested it in a very long game so I cant give you exact numbers.


Extra.
  • With enough "street cred" you can call a trader to your location using a ham radio.
  • In December you can find Santa Claus and make a sweet X-mas raffle with him. Raffle input is same as with other traders but the output is highly randomized set of all kinds of stuff. Even stuff that other traders won't have at all.
  • Included a shopkeeper as well. They are not part of the forage spawn system and can be placed by server admin to desired locations. They wont disappear on their own. Shopkeepers can trade everything and are not specialized.
  • Seed trade is enabled with my Hard Farming mod.




Works in SP and MP. Can be added to old savegames. Updates will work in existing savegames and no need to start a new one - maybe only unsubscribe and subscribe the mod again to be sure.

When I click on the trader, it just says Grab ______ Trader, theres not an option to trade or do any other action

IDK if this is a bug,but im not getting a popup tab to trade with the Trader.The mods i'm using include Noir's attachments,RV interior,Vehicle spawn edits for Filibusters cars,Filibuster used cars+animation beta,MRE mod,Enhanced environment,Dynamic Trading,Immersive hunting,Food preservation Plus,First Aid overhaul,TchernoLub B41,True crawl,Advanced Trajectory's realistic overhaul,true crouching,MaD awesome zombie loot,lingering whispers,they knew,hypothermia kills,Sensible balance,Mod manager:enhanced load order,Bandit Weapon condition indicator,expanded helicopter events,easy config chucked,error Magnifier,Weapon condition indicator,mod manger,Radio Frequency manger,Gyde's trait magazines,obvious collecting,hide,braven throwables,common sense,Snake's mod pack,bow and arrow,UV's training range,total rebalance for vanilla weapons,item tweaker API,vanilla crafting expansion,brita's weapon pack,Mod potions,Arsenal gunfighter.
any idea if any of these conflict with Dynamic Trading?

Seems like trading with Erwin Marduk Hoslin (the permanent shop trader) causes him to still disappear, despite his description. Mod conflict, or an issue with the base mod?

do you know if anything can cause this, or did i do something wrong? (the trader face appeared like a foraging icon, and when i right-clicked on it, it only gave me an option to ignore it or to pick it up. (i think i dragged it to the floor before it started spawning).

hi spoon, ive been having a great time with your mods :)

for this one though, i managed to find a trader and when i picked it up, it started spawning traders every 2 seconds, with a "hi", "howdy" or a "ho ho ho" like 20 times and wouldnt stop. :o)

the only way i could recover was to force quit the game, disable the mod and reload from an hour earlier in game or something, (which was ok) but i didnt know if it was a bug or is it supposed to spawn a certain amount and then stop on its own?

For those wondering, when calling a trader having a Ham radio nearby won't work. Despite the recipes having a "CanBeDoneFromFloor : TRUE," condition, it doesn't appear to work once the Ham radio is placed. You'll have to pick it up until your inventory for it to work.
