Scratch & Bite

Scratch and Bite are two BBoy brothers hailing from a slightly sooner dystopian future. As a tag team fighter, they fight for freedom of expression using breakdancing attacks and hip-hop inspired techniques.

This character is the WINNER of the Black History Month workshop jam, hosted by InnerOtaku and the BLW team. Thanks to my team, who I couldn't have done it without!

NSPECIAL: B-Side
Swap to Bite, or back to Scratch. If you do this during the start of a move, you'll store that move for later. Swapping back will cause you to use it immediately. You can store grounded moves and use them in the air, cancel your current moves into other moves, or just cancel your moves into nothing for the speed of it!

FSPECIAL: Spinback / Breakbeat
Throw a vinyl record as a projectile. The properties of the projectile change depending on which character is currently active; this applies even after the disc has already been thrown! You can only throw one disc at a time.

USPECIAL: Upbeat
If you have no record anywhere, throw one upwards. Its trajectory and properties change based on your active character just like FSPECIAL.
If you DO have one somewhere, you will instead launch towards your record's position, covering great distance.

DSPECIAL: Crossfade EX
Summon your ally as an assist! By default, they'll simply stand there and pose, but if you store a move with B-Side, you can have your ally perform it for you remotely! Careful not to get your ally hit, as you'll become them as a result. You can also use B-Side while Crossfade EX is active to become the assist as the new active player, as well!
